Three Alazani Rivers Biosphere Reserve in Georgia

Michael Succow Foundation together with Regional Environmental Center for the Caucasus completed the project on Three Alazani Rivers Biosphere Reserve nomination in Georgia.

Within the project significant steps towards successful establishment of one of the first Biosphere Reserves in the entire South Caucasus Region were implemented. Extensive capacity building, awareness raising and participatory planning processes enabled involvement of a wide range of stakeholders from local and national level.

The video was produced within the organized Biosphere Reserves Festival that took place in May 2021 in Babaneuri – transition area of the proposed Three Alazani Rivers Biosphere Reserve.
